The heat is on! Is there any better way to cool off with this cold , sweet , sinful dessert?
For the crust:
8 ounces Oreo cookies, crushed
1/4 cup butter, melted
For the filling:
2 pints coffee ice cream, softened
Maltesers
For the topping:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon strong brewed coffee
What to do:
In a bowl, combined crushed Oreos and melted butter. Then press the mixture onto a cake pan or individual pie plates. Refrigerate for at least 1 hours.
Make the filling: Scoop softened coffee ice cream into the crust. Fill with Malteser candies as desired. Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Make the topping (just before pies are ready): Combine chocolate chips, butter, and coffee in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on low for 1 to 2 minutes or until melted. Allow to cool. Place inside a plastic bag and cut off one corner to make a drizzling tip.
When ice cream is ready and solid, drizzle the sauce topping over each pie in a zigzag motion. Freeze again until the topping is solid.
Indulge!
